Pianist Howard Tin Pui Tang, 19, is the winner of the 2015 Foundation for Chinese Performing Arts Concerto Competition.

In 2013, Howard was selected as one of 16 candidates worldwide to join the musical festival in Philadelphia Young Pianists’ Academy, where he was invited to study with Sergei Babayan, Charles Abramovic, Ching-Yun Hu and Meng-Chieh Liu.

He is the recipient of a number of awards, including first prize in the Hong Kong School Music Festival And Speech Association and second prize in the Hong Kong Generation Next Arts competition.

He currently studies with Mary Wu at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, where he was awarded a full scholarship by The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. He has been invited to perform in a number of masterclasses, including the ABRSM 60th Anniversary masterclass, and in others given by Gabriel Kwok, Eleanor Wong, and the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.
